These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of this website and the services provided by Online Legal Services (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing this website or purchasing any service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use this website or purchase any services.
About Us
Online Legal Services provides online legal information, document preparation, and solicitor-reviewed services for matters governed by Irish law.
All legal services are delivered or reviewed by qualified solicitors regulated by the Law Society of Ireland, where stated.
We do not provide legal advice until a solicitor has formally reviewed your matter and confirmed engagement.
Scope of Services
Our services include (but are not limited to):
- Fixed-fee legal document drafting and review
- Online legal consultations
- Initial case assessments
- General legal guidance packs and templates
Services are provided remotely and primarily by email unless otherwise stated.
Not all legal matters are suitable for online handling. Suitability is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Low Upfront Deposit (Refundable)
To begin certain services, we may request a low upfront deposit, typically €49–€99, payable online.
1. Purpose of the Deposit
The deposit covers:
- Initial review of the information you submit
- Assessment by a solicitor to determine whether your matter can be handled online
2. Refund Where Case Is Not Suitable
If, after review, the solicitor determines that your matter cannot be handled online, you will receive a full refund of the deposit, with no deductions.
This ensures there is no financial risk to you in requesting an initial assessment.
Staged Payments (Where Applicable)
Where a matter can be handled online:
- The remaining fee is typically payable in stages
- Commonly 50% to commence work and 50% upon completion
- All staged payments are arranged by email after the initial deposit
- Only the initial deposit is taken online
Exact payment terms will be clearly confirmed before any further work begins.
“No Proceed” Guarantee
If, following a solicitor’s review, you are advised that proceeding with the matter is not in your best interests, we will not encourage unnecessary legal action.
In such cases:
- The matter will not proceed
- Any upfront deposit paid will be automatically refunded in full
This guarantee reflects our commitment to honesty, transparency, and acting in the client’s best interests.
Money-Back Satisfaction Guarantee
We want you to feel confident using our services.
If you purchase:
- A will
- A contract or legal document
- A consultation
and you believe the service was unsatisfactory, you may request a refund within 24–48 hours of delivery or consultation, provided that:
- You clearly explain the reason for dissatisfaction
- The request is made in good faith
Refunds under this guarantee are issued promptly once reviewed.
This guarantee does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
