2. Scope of Services

All services are provided remotely (primarily by email or video call unless otherwise agreed).
We reserve the absolute right to determine whether a matter is suitable for online handling.
3. No Reliance & Information Disclaimer

4. Low Upfront Deposit (Refundable)
4.1 Purpose
A deposit (typically €49–€99) may be required to:
Review your submitted information
Assess suitability for online legal services
4.2 Refund Guarantee
If your matter is deemed unsuitable for online handling:
You will receive a full refund of the deposit
No deductions will be made
Refunds are processed within a reasonable timeframe.
5. Staged Payments
Where your matter proceeds:
Fees may be payable in staged instalments
Typically 50% upfront and 50% upon completion
Full payment terms will be clearly agreed before any further work is carried out.
We reserve the right to suspend work where payment is outstanding.
6. No Proceed Guarantee
If a solicitor determines that proceeding is not in your best interests:
We will advise you accordingly
No unnecessary work will be undertaken
Any deposit paid will be refunded in full
We are under no obligation to proceed with any matter.
7. Satisfaction Guarantee
For certain services (including wills, contracts, and consultations):
You may request a refund within 48 hours of delivery, provided that:
The request is made in good faith
A clear reason is provided
We reserve the right to refuse refund requests where:
Work has been substantially completed
The service has been fully delivered as agreed
The request is unreasonable or abusive
This guarantee is discretionary and does not affect your statutory rights under Irish consumer law.
8. What We Do Not Do
We expressly do not:
Guarantee any legal outcome or result
Provide legal advice without formal solicitor engagement
Represent clients in court unless expressly agreed in writing
Act outside Irish law unless specifically stated
9. Client Responsibilities
You agree to:

Respond promptly to requests
Review all documents provided
We accept no responsibility for any loss, delay, or issue arising from:
Incorrect or incomplete information
Failure to follow advice or instructions

12. Limitation of Liability

We shall not be liable for:

Consequential losses
Loss of profits
Loss of opportunity
Business interruption
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Online Legal Services, its directors, employees, and contractors from any claims, losses, or damages arising from:

14. Right to Refuse or Terminate Service
We reserve the absolute right to refuse, suspend, or terminate services where:
The matter is unsuitable
There is a conflict of interest
Required information is not provided
There is abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour
Any applicable refunds will be handled in line with these Terms.
