Our business immigration strategy consultation in Ireland is a 60-minute video call with an Irish solicitor for founders, business owners and HR leaders who are bringing key people, investment or operations to Ireland. It maps the right route for your situation and ends with a written strategy summary. Solicitors set their own fees for this work and must give you a written costs estimate before starting.

What’s included

  • 60-minute video call with a solicitor experienced in business immigration
  • Mapping of the right route: Start-Up Entrepreneur Programme (STEP), intra-company transfers, employment permits or company formation routes
  • Compliance and timeline planning for permits, Stamp 4 and naturalisation if applicable
  • Written strategy summary with recommended next actions and indicative fees for each path

Subsequent application work is priced separately, and the consultation fee is credited against any instruction within 3 months.

Who this is for

This service is typically used by people in situations such as these:

  • Founders relocating themselves and a co-founder team
  • SMEs hiring international talent who want a clear process
  • Established companies opening an Irish office or transferring senior staff
  • Entrepreneurs considering the STEP route

Every matter is different, so a short questionnaire and a solicitor’s review would typically confirm that this service suits your circumstances before the work goes further. Please have your key details and documents to hand when you start, and if you are unsure whether this is the right service, say so in your enquiry so it can be discussed with you at the outset.

How it works

  1. This service cannot be ordered here; to instruct a solicitor, use the Law Society of Ireland’s Find a Solicitor directory.
  2. Complete a short questionnaire with your details and the background to your matter.
  3. A solicitor reviews your matter and holds the consultation with you and prepares the written strategy summary.
  4. Your documents and any update are delivered to you by email.

The consultation is advice on routes and planning; any application that follows is a separate instruction. The Immigrant Investor Programme closed to new applications in 2023 and is not among the routes discussed.

Which immigration routes does the consultation cover?

It covers STEP, intra-company transfers, employment permits and company formation routes, with planning for Stamp 4 and naturalisation where relevant.
