Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: 17 August 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website www.onlinelegalservices.ie and any services obtained through it.
By accessing this website or purchasing any service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use this website or purchase any services.
1. About Us
1.1 The platform. www.onlinelegalservices.ie (“OnlineLegalServices.ie”, “the platform”) is a trading name of PLUSOLS LIMITED, a company registered in Ireland under number 812815 (“PLUSOLS LIMITED”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
1.2 PLUSOLS LIMITED is not a solicitor’s practice. PLUSOLS LIMITED is not a solicitor’s practice, is not a law firm, and is not regulated by the Law Society of Ireland. PLUSOLS LIMITED does not provide legal advice, does not provide regulated legal services, and does not supervise legal work.
1.3 Part A — platform services provided by PLUSOLS LIMITED. PLUSOLS LIMITED provides only: the website and online service catalogue; client enquiry and intake; secure document handling and storage; technology and account administration; payment administration; and customer service in relation to the platform.
1.4 Part B — regulated legal services provided by O’Grady Solicitors & Co. Where a service requires legal advice or work reserved to a solicitor, that work is provided by O’Grady Solicitors & Co., an independent solicitor’s practice regulated by the Law Society of Ireland. O’Grady Solicitors & Co. is solely responsible for the legal services it provides. Full details are set out in Schedule 1.
1.5 No solicitor-client relationship with PLUSOLS LIMITED. No solicitor-client relationship arises between you and PLUSOLS LIMITED in any circumstances. Any solicitor-client relationship in respect of legal work is between you and O’Grady Solicitors & Co. alone.
1.6 Purchase does not create a retainer. Purchasing a service, submitting an enquiry, or making payment through OnlineLegalServices.ie does not by itself mean that O’Grady Solicitors & Co. has accepted you as a client or accepted your instruction. No legal work begins until that practice has completed its onboarding and confirmed acceptance in writing.
1.7 Application. Clauses 1.2 to 1.6 apply to all services involving solicitor or legal work, without exception. This includes shorter or lower-value matters such as consultations, initial legal assessments, document reviews, demand letters, letters before action and cease and desist letters, as well as larger matters such as conveyancing, probate and estate administration, divorce, litigation and disputes, and medical negligence.
2. Scope Of Services
Services available through the platform may include:
- Fixed-fee legal document drafting and review
- Online legal consultations
- Initial legal assessments
- Legal templates, guidance materials, and information packs
All services are provided remotely (primarily by email or video call unless otherwise agreed).
PLUSOLS LIMITED may decline to accept an enquiry through the platform for operational reasons. Separately and independently, O’Grady Solicitors & Co. decides whether it is able to accept any matter requiring legal advice, and whether that matter is suitable to be handled remotely. That decision rests with the practice alone.
3. No Reliance & Information Disclaimer
Any information provided on this website or prior to formal engagement:
- Is for general informational purposes only
- Does not constitute legal advice
- Must not be relied upon as a substitute for professional legal advice
You should not take or refrain from taking any action based on website content without first obtaining formal legal advice.
4. Payment
4.1 Fixed Fees, Paid In Full
All services are provided on a fixed-fee basis. The fee for each service is shown on the relevant service page and is payable in full at the time of booking through our secure online checkout.
4.2 No Deposits Or Staged Payments
We do not take deposits, partial payments, or staged or instalment payments. Your booking is confirmed only once full payment has been received.
4.3 Refund If Unsuitable
If, after reviewing your information, your matter is determined not to be suitable for online handling — whether by PLUSOLS LIMITED on operational grounds or by O’Grady Solicitors & Co. on legal or professional grounds — you will receive a full refund of the amount paid, with no deductions. The refund is issued by whichever party received your payment. Refunds are processed within a reasonable timeframe.
4.4 How Fees Are Collected
Fees for services booked through OnlineLegalServices.ie are collected through the platform’s checkout. Where a matter proceeds to O’Grady Solicitors & Co., that practice issues its own engagement and costs documentation, and any client monies arising in the course of the matter are held by that practice in its own client account in accordance with the Solicitors Accounts Regulations. The billing and settlement arrangements between PLUSOLS LIMITED and O’Grady Solicitors & Co. are a matter between those parties and do not affect your rights.
4A. Consumer Right Of Withdrawal (Cooling-Off)
If you are a consumer purchasing at a distance, you have a statutory right under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason. To exercise this right, email info@onlinelegalservices.ie within that period with a clear statement that you wish to withdraw. Where you withdraw, we will refund all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days after being informed, using the same means of payment you used.
If you ask us to begin the service during the 14-day period, you will be asked to expressly request immediate performance and to acknowledge that: (a) if the service is fully performed within the period, you lose the right of withdrawal once it has been fully performed; and (b) if you withdraw after performance has begun but before completion, you must pay an amount proportionate to what has been provided. Nothing in these terms affects your other statutory rights under Irish and EU consumer law.
5. Referral, Onboarding And When Work Begins
5.1 Referral. Where your matter requires legal advice or solicitor work, your enquiry and supporting information are referred by PLUSOLS LIMITED to O’Grady Solicitors & Co.
5.2 Onboarding. Before any legal work progresses, O’Grady Solicitors & Co. must formally onboard you as its client. That process is carried out by the practice and includes, as applicable: conflict of interest checks; client identification and verification; anti-money-laundering checks; matter risk assessment; issue of and your agreement to the practice’s engagement and costs documentation, including its client care letter; and any source-of-funds and source-of-wealth enquiries the practice requires.
5.3 When work begins. Legal work begins only once O’Grady Solicitors & Co. has completed onboarding, confirmed acceptance of the instruction in writing, and received any information it requires. Payment alone does not cause legal work to begin.
5.4 If the practice does not accept. If O’Grady Solicitors & Co. does not accept the engagement, no legal work will be carried out and any payment made for that legal service will be refunded in full by the party that received it.
5.5 Suspension. Delivery of platform services may be suspended or withheld where a payment is reversed, disputed, or charged back.
6. No Proceed Guarantee
If O’Grady Solicitors & Co. determines that proceeding is not in your best interests, that practice will advise you accordingly, no unnecessary work will be undertaken, and any payment made for the legal service will be refunded in full by the party that received it.
Neither PLUSOLS LIMITED nor O’Grady Solicitors & Co. is under any obligation to proceed with any matter.
7. Satisfaction Guarantee
For certain services (including wills, contracts, and consultations) you may request a refund within 48 hours of delivery, provided that the request is made in good faith and a clear reason is provided.
We reserve the right to refuse refund requests where work has been substantially completed, the service has been fully delivered as agreed, or the request is unreasonable or abusive.
This guarantee is offered by PLUSOLS LIMITED in respect of platform services. It is discretionary, does not limit your rights against O’Grady Solicitors & Co. in respect of legal services, and does not affect your statutory rights under Irish consumer law.
8. What We Do Not Do
PLUSOLS LIMITED expressly does not:
- Provide legal advice in any circumstances
- Provide regulated legal services
- Supervise, direct or review legal work
- Hold client monies
- Guarantee any legal outcome or result
O’Grady Solicitors & Co. does not guarantee any legal outcome or result, does not represent clients in court unless expressly agreed in writing with that practice, and does not advise outside Irish law unless specifically stated.
9. Client Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and truthful information, respond promptly to requests, and review all documents provided.
No responsibility is accepted for any loss, delay, or issue arising from incorrect or incomplete information, or from a failure to follow advice or instructions.
10. Confidentiality & Data Protection
10.1 PLUSOLS LIMITED is a controller for personal data it processes to operate OnlineLegalServices.ie, including website operation, enquiries and intake, customer administration, billing administration, marketing and its own business purposes.
10.2 O’Grady Solicitors & Co. is a separate and independent controller for personal data it processes for client onboarding, identity and anti-money-laundering verification, risk assessment, the provision of legal advice, and file and matter management.
10.3 Where PLUSOLS LIMITED processes legal-matter information solely on the documented instructions of O’Grady Solicitors & Co. and for no purpose of its own, that processing is processor activity and is governed by a written data-processing agreement between the parties meeting the requirements of Article 28 GDPR.
10.4 All personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and Irish data protection legislation. For full details, refer to our Privacy Policy.
11. Turnaround Times
Any timelines provided are estimates only. Neither PLUSOLS LIMITED nor O’Grady Solicitors & Co. is liable for delays caused by the complexity of the matter, third parties, client delays, or the availability of the instructed practice.
12. Limitation Of Liability
12.1 This section limits the liability of PLUSOLS LIMITED only. It does not limit, exclude or affect the liability of O’Grady Solicitors & Co.
12.2 PLUSOLS LIMITED provides platform services only, as described at clause 1.3. PLUSOLS LIMITED accepts no liability for legal advice, for legal work, or for the conduct of any legal matter.
12.3 Subject to clause 12.5, the total aggregate liability of PLUSOLS LIMITED arising out of or in connection with the platform services shall not exceed the total platform fees paid by you to PLUSOLS LIMITED in respect of the matter giving rise to the claim.
12.4 Liability for legal services, including any professional negligence, is governed by the engagement terms of O’Grady Solicitors & Co. and is covered by that practice’s professional indemnity insurance. Any claim in respect of legal services must be brought against that practice and not against PLUSOLS LIMITED.
12.5 Neither party excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under Irish consumer law.
13. Indemnity
13.1 You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PLUSOLS LIMITED, its directors, its employees, and its platform service providers (being third parties engaged by PLUSOLS LIMITED to provide hosting, technology or payment administration) against any claims, losses or damages arising from your misuse of the platform, your breach of these Terms, or your provision of inaccurate or misleading information.
13.2 This indemnity does not extend to, and confers no benefit on, O’Grady Solicitors & Co. or any solicitor. O’Grady Solicitors & Co. is not a contractor, agent, employee, partner or representative of PLUSOLS LIMITED. It is an independent solicitor’s practice.
14. Right To Refuse Or Terminate Service
PLUSOLS LIMITED may refuse, suspend or terminate platform services where required information is not provided, or where there is abusive, threatening or inappropriate behaviour.
O’Grady Solicitors & Co. may independently decline, suspend or terminate an engagement, including where a matter is unsuitable, where a conflict of interest exists, where identification, anti-money-laundering or source-of-funds requirements are not satisfied, or where its professional obligations otherwise require.
Any applicable refunds are handled in line with these Terms and issued by the party that received the payment.
15. Intellectual Property
All website content, templates, and materials are the property of PLUSOLS LIMITED. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute content, or use materials for commercial purposes, without prior written consent.
16. Third-Party Services
We are not responsible for third-party platforms, external links, or payment providers. Use of such services is at your own risk.
17. Changes To These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of any updated Terms.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
19. Contact Information And Complaints
19.1 Platform matters — the website, booking, billing administration or customer service: PLUSOLS LIMITED, info@onlinelegalservices.ie, 085 804 1664.
19.2 Legal services complaints — Complaints relating to legal advice, legal fees or the conduct of a legal matter should initially be made to O’Grady Solicitors & Co. Clients may also have a right to make a complaint to the Legal Services Regulatory Authority (LSRA).
19.3 PLUSOLS LIMITED cannot investigate, determine or resolve a complaint about legal services.
20. Business Legal Plans (Subscription Services)
20.1 Scope
Business Legal Plans are fixed monthly subscription packages providing ongoing legal support as described on our Business Legal Plans page. Each plan includes only the services listed for that plan. Work falling outside a plan (including litigation, conveyancing, corporate transactions and substantial drafting projects) is not included and will be quoted separately in advance at fixed fees, with any applicable plan discount applied. No additional work is undertaken or charged without your prior agreement.
20.2 Term And Cancellation
Plans are billed monthly in advance and are subject to a minimum term of 3 months. After the minimum term, you may cancel at any time by giving 30 days’ written notice to info@onlinelegalservices.ie. Fees already paid are non-refundable once the monthly service period has commenced.
20.3 Fair Usage
Where a plan includes “unlimited” telephone and email advice, this covers reasonable day-to-day legal queries relating to your business, up to a guideline of 8 hours of advisory time per calendar month. We will notify you before any usage beyond this level and agree next steps. Advice time included in a plan applies per calendar month and does not roll over.
20.4 Payment
Subscription fees for platform services are collected monthly by the payment method agreed at onboarding. If a payment fails, we will notify you and reattempt collection; plan services may be suspended if payment remains outstanding for more than 14 days.
Where a plan includes legal advice or solicitor work, that work is provided by O’Grady Solicitors & Co. and does not commence until that practice has completed its own client onboarding — including conflict checks, identification and anti-money-laundering verification, risk assessment and issue of its client care letter — in accordance with its obligations to the Law Society of Ireland.
20.5 Plan Changes
You may upgrade or downgrade your plan with effect from the start of the next calendar month. We may amend plan pricing or inclusions on 30 days’ notice; if you do not accept a change, you may cancel without penalty before it takes effect.
