Decide today who’ll look after you tomorrow

An Enduring Power of Attorney (EPA) lets you choose, today, who will look after your finances and personal welfare if illness or injury one day takes that ability away from you. Without an EPA, your family may need to apply to court — a slow, expensive and very public process under the Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act 2015.

We make it simple. A qualified Irish solicitor, regulated by the Law Society of Ireland, drafts your EPA, walks you through the choices, registers it with the Decision Support Service, and answers your questions in plain English. One fixed fee. No hidden costs. No surprises.

What’s included — €395 inc. VAT

  • 30-minute solicitor consultation (video or phone)
  • Drafting of your Enduring Power of Attorney
  • Registration with the Decision Support Service (DSS)
  • Witnessing arrangements coordinated for you
  • Plain-English explanation of every clause
  • One round of revisions
  • Secure document delivery and digital copy for safekeeping

What’s not included (clearly itemised)

  • DSS registration fee (currently €30 — paid directly by you)
  • Doctor / healthcare professional capacity statement (typically €60–€150)
  • Postage of notification letters to “notice parties” — at cost only

Why people choose us for their EPA

  • Fixed fee, no hidden extras. You see the total cost before you start.
  • Fully online — but properly Irish. Done from home, but always with a Law Society regulated Irish solicitor.
  • Same-week appointments. Most clients have their consultation booked within 5 working days.
  • Compatible with a Will. Add our Will service for a discounted bundle and have your estate plan finished in one go.

How the process works

  1. Order online for €395 inc. VAT.
  2. Short intake form — about 5 minutes. Tell us who you’d like as your attorney(s) and any preferences.
  3. Solicitor consultation — usually within 5 working days, by video or phone.
  4. We draft your EPA and email it to you for review.
  5. Sign with witnesses. We send clear instructions; many clients use their GP as one witness.
  6. We register your EPA with the Decision Support Service. You receive the registered copy plus a digital safe-keeping copy.

From order to registered EPA: typically 3–5 weeks. Most of that is DSS processing time, not solicitor time.

Pair it with a Will and save

Most clients put an EPA and a Will in place at the same time — one covers life, the other covers death, and together they form a complete estate plan. Add a Will to your order and we’ll discount the combined fee.

Frequently asked questions

What is an Enduring Power of Attorney in Ireland?

It’s a legal document where you (the donor) appoint one or more attorneys to look after your financial affairs and/or personal welfare if you later lose decision-making capacity. It’s now governed by the Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act 2015, which came into operation in 2023.

How much does an EPA cost in Ireland?

Solicitors typically charge €500–€1,500 plus VAT and outlays. Our fixed fee is €395 inc. VAT, with the DSS registration fee (€30) and the doctor’s capacity statement (€60–€150) clearly disclosed up-front.

How long does the process take?

From your first call to a registered EPA, most clients are finished within 3–5 weeks — most of which is DSS processing time. The solicitor work itself is normally complete in under a week.

Do I need to be in good health to make an EPA?

You must have decision-making capacity at the time you sign — that’s why a doctor’s statement is required as part of the registration process. The whole point of an EPA is to be set up before capacity becomes an issue.

Can I make my EPA fully online?

Most of it, yes — your consultation, drafting, and document review are all online. The actual signing requires a witness and notification of named persons; we coordinate this for you and walk you through it step-by-step.

Can I change or cancel my EPA later?

Yes — while you still have capacity, you can revoke or amend an EPA at any time. We can handle that for you under a separate fixed fee.

Should I get an EPA and a Will done together?

Most people do. The two documents are complementary (an EPA covers life, a Will covers death). Ask about our combined estate-planning fixed fee.
