FLAC free phone advice
FLAC no longer runs face-to-face clinics through Citizens Information Centres. It offers a limited number of free phone advice appointments, arranged through your local Citizens Information Centre or a FLAC partner organisation. Appointments are not available on request, depend on volunteer lawyer availability and are for once-off, basic advice, so they will not suit ongoing or complex matters. Legal Aid Board civil legal aid
The Legal Aid Board provides civil legal aid and advice through law centres staffed by solicitors. To qualify, your disposable income must be under €18,000 and your disposable capital under €100,000, not counting your family home. A contribution applies, starting at €30 for legal advice. Domestic violence, childcare and child abduction matters are prioritised, as are cases at risk of missing a time limit for issuing proceedings.
